Color Adjustment
Color controls
allows you to correct for unattractive color casts.
The photograph, taken indoors under fluorescent lights, has a green cast.
By reducing the green brightness and slightly increasing the red and blue brightness,
a much more natural color is obtained.
How to do it:
Graphic Converter (Macintosh): Picture --> Brightness/Contrast..., then de-select "Connect bars" and
reduce the "Brighness green" bar.
Paint Shop Pro (Windows): Colors --> Adjust --> Red/Green/Blue, then reduce the Green.
The Brightness/Contrast control box also has a color saturation control.
This image has very dull colors.
Increasing the color saturation brings out the colors. (However, don't overdo
it or the colors will look garish).
How to do it:
Graphic Converter (Macintosh): Picture --> Brightness/Contrast..., then adjust the Saturation bar
Paint Shop Pro (Windows): Colors --> Adjust --> Hue/Saturation/Brightness, then increase Saturation.
