• Maryland NetWeekend -- September, 1996
  Since the focus of NetWeekend was on wiring schools, we felt it was important that there be "something waiting" for teachers in schools that actually succeeded in connecting to mthe Internet. To help make up for the lack of focus on training, we
  • produced and provided all Maryland public schools with a booklet entitled "Teaching With the Internet"

  • provided schools scheduled for wiring as a part of Maryland's NetWeekend with a packet including
    • a videotape extract of the ASCD's "Teaching and Learning with the Internet"
    • several books and pamphlets, and
    • disks containing sample "offline" Web sites and a web page containing a large collection of links to educational sites.

• Spring-Into-The-Net Workshops -- Spring 1977
  We felt that a decentralized model of teacher-training-teachers workshops might hold the most promise of making teacher training widely available, quickly, at minimum expense. This was a preliminary experiment with that model.
