The 1998 Let It Snow! Project

BLANKET OF SNOW

A cool, collaborative patchwork of snow similes!

What's a simile???

A simile uses the word like to compare 2 different things. For example: The sun is like a yellow ball that bounces around the world.

But, the similes on this page are about snow!

Can you guess how "snow is like a mozzarella stick" or "like a hawk?" Click on the patch in the blanket to find out. Have fun "reading" and figuring out the rest of the squares.

SNOW IS LIKE ...

A MOZZARELLA STICK

FROSTING on a DONUT

A CRAB

A POLAR BEAR

CHICKEN-FRIED STEAK

A HAWK

A POODLE

A KITTEN

A MONKEY

A BLANKET

A CARROT

A BIRD

Want to help create the "BLANKET OF SNOW." Some of the similes need illustrations. Or, maybe you'd like to write a snow simile of a pacthwork quilt of your own?
