CYBERSNOWMAN Project: Let It Snow!

An Electronic Elementary Magazine Project

Timeline: Current, January - March

In cyberspace, you don't have to wait for the weather report to see if there will be enough snow to build a snowman! It's possible to build snowmen and women on warm beaches or hot deserts :-) All it takes is imagination, and we have plenty of that, no matter what the weather. Create a snowperson to brighten up your cyber-backyard or place it in a setting of your choice.

About the Project:

This simple and fun project can give students an opportunity to demonstrate creative thinking, writing, and problem-solving; also, knowledge of geography and cultures of different countries and regions.

Objective: Create a snowperson that is :

  • Doing something a human might do (personification.)
  • Placed in an unusual or unexpected setting. Now pretend you are the snowperson and write a letter, poem, or rap in which you introduce yourself to a worldwide audience.
