  • The Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) has a website which provides information about El Nino and how families can prepare for natural emergencies and disasters. Included on their site is a link to FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) for KIDS. Featured there is a coloring book for children and activities to help families plan for emergencies.

    U.S. COAST GUARD CUTTER, POLAR STAR - Follow this U.S. Coast Guard Cutter on its' 5 month research journey to Antarctica. The Coast Guard has invited students to follow and participate in the journey by communicating questions to the researchers. Stop by their site first to read some of the answers to other classes.
