About The Diversity Database

The University of Maryland's Diversity Database is sponsored by the Diversity Initiative Program, a program designed by the Office of Human Relations Programs to promote campus-wide diversity at Maryland. This database is part of the University of Maryland's inforM network.

The Diversity Database is supported by Maryland's Administrative Computer Center (ACC), College of Information Studies (CIS), Academic Information Technology Services (aITS), the Office of Human Relations Programs, and the University Libraries.

This database contains campus, local, national, and international academic material relating to the following areas of diversity as defined by the Office of Human Relations Programs at the University of Maryland: age, class, disability, ethnicity, gender, national origin, race, religion & sexual orientation.

Here is a history of the formation of the Database.
