Monday, September 11, 2000 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom Lounge of the Stamp Student Union, the Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equity along with Queer Central, a grassroots organization consisting of representatives from LGBT and allied organizations at the University of Maryland, will hold a kickoff reception for the 2000-2001 academic year. This reception will provide new students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to connect with the campus LGBT and allied community; continuing students, and established faculty and staff to renew acquaintances and greet new arrivals on campus; and all interested persons to meet and chat with individuals on campus who are relevant to LGBT and allied issues.
