Information on Submitting Comments

To submit proposed additions to these resources, or to make comments and suggestions for improvement, contact Heleni Pedersoli at hp4@umail.umd.edu .
Dr. Robert Merikangas (rm30@umail.umd.edu)is the creator and designer of The Religion Specific Resources. The database is designed to support the personal interests and cultural/intellectual development of members of the campus community, as well as answer inquiries related to curricular and research projects.
We hope that these resources will help not only the faculty, students, and staff of the UM campus, but also members of faith communities to grow in knowledge of the diverse heritages represented here, as well as learn from, and appreciate, the traditions, experiences, and wisdom of other religious expressions.
Issues which may be highly controversial will be identified. We hope that the confrontation of differences and the ways of dealing with conflicts will be peaceful and constructive. As President Dan Mote has said, we want to "ensure that this community remains a safe and fertile ground for the development and exchange of ideas, in and out of the classroom. In this community of scholars, we must all be willing to listen and to be challenged by an idea that is different from our own." (Eclipse, Sept. 15, 1998, p. 4)

Questions, comments, and/or suggestions should be directed to diversity@umail.umd.edu
