Established in 1991, the Archives of African American Music and Culture (AAAMC) is a repository of materials covering musical idioms and cultural expressions from the post-World War II era.

The park collection contains 55 items presently. Most items are 19th century farm tools.

* Duke Ellington Collection Smithsonian Institute

* George Meany Memorial Archives, AFL/CIO

* Martin Luther King Center for Nonviolent Change, Inc.
The King Library and Archives in Atlanta is the largest repository of primary source materials on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the American Civil Rights Movement in the world.

* Mary McLeod Bethune Museum and Archives
Records of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs.

* Marylandia & Rare Books Department
This collection consists of primarily twentieth-century materials, written by and about Africans, African-Americans, and Caribbeans on a wide variety of subjects.

* Maryland State Archives

* Museum of African Art and Frederick Douglass Institute

* National Archives & Records Administration
Contemporary African Art from the Harmon Foundation, Pictures from the Harmon Foundation--Artworks and Activities, and Pictures of African Americans During World War II.

* National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
Great Museum in D.C.

* The Owen T. Curtis Collection
The Owen Curtis collection contains approximately 2000 images that document life in Southwest Washington between 1920 and 1950, prior to its destruction to make way for the Southeast-Southwest Freeway.

* PAHMUSA - The Pan African Historical Museum U.S.A.
Featuring African and African American hisory and art exhibits.

* The Shango Project: National Archives for Black Lesbians and Gay Men
The Shango Project is a newly conceived effort to collect, preserve and maintain materials of historical interest which document aspects of African-American Lesbian and Gay existence in contemporary and historical society.
