I am very pleased to announce that I have started a listserv
mailing list for discussion of Down Syndrome.  The mailing list
is called DOWN-SYN and can be subscribed to by sending mail
to "listserv@vm1.nodak.edu" (or "LISTSERV@NDSUVM1" for Bitnet
people).  Subject does not matter but the first line of text
in the message should be:

Sub Down-Syn Your Name

Or send mail to me asking to be subscribed.

This mailing list will be gatewayed with the correspsonding
Usenet newsgroup called bit.listserv.down-syn.  I am also starting
a Fidonet conference called "Down-Syn" which will also be gatewayed
with this mailing list.

I picked October 7th to announce this list since today is my
son Alexander's 11th birthday.  Alexander has Down Syndrome
and he is the reason why I first became involved with disability
related telecommunications.

This unmoderated list is for discussion of ALL topics related to Down
Syndrome and everyone is welcome to join.
