The National Mental Health Association, a nonprofit organization addressing
all aspects of mental health and mental illness, is seeking undergraduate
and graduate students for its internship program. The program is designed
to provide a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world work
experience relevant to their academic and career goals. Internships are
available in mental health prevention, communications, public education,
fundraising, research, marketing, administration finance, adult mental
health services, library science, and the Safe Schools/Healthy Students

Volunteer Opportunities
NMHA Resource Center Volunteers - The National Mental Health Association's
Resource Center, a national information and referral center, is seeking
volunteers to respond to inquiries from callers throughout the country
regarding mental health resources, referral and research. Ideal for someone
with psychology or social work background or anyone interested in learning
about the mental health needs of the public. Candidates should be
detail-oriented, well organized and enjoy telephone work. Experience with
telephone referral or help-line a plus as are bilingual skills
(Spanish/English). 16-20 hours/week availability desired. Located in Old

responsibilities include staff management, coordination of services and

planning, and facilitation of programs to better link affiliates and the
national office. Requirements include experience in the MHA field as a
staff or volunteer, an understanding of community-based advocacy and
education, supervision experience, BA/BS, and at least 7-10 years work

Marketing
