Computers and Writing 2003: Discovering Digital Dimensions (10/28/02; 5/22/03- 5/25/03)

I'm pleased to let you know that "Proposal Season" has opened for the Computers and Writing 2003 on-site conference, "Discovering Digital Dimensions" (3-D at Purdue, May 22-25 2003). If you visit the conference Web site at http://www.cw2003.org you will find new links to the following:

1. Proposal Submission System
2. Submission Directions
3. Proposal FAQs

Please review the Call for Submissions, Submission Directions and Proposal FAQs nodes before submitting your proposal. Those will answer many of your questions about the conference and about the electronic submission system, which has been newly developed to facilitate blind, peer review. Submission Directions provide you with detailed help for submitting your proposal into the tracking and review system, which is automated. The Proposal FAQ's node will explain proposal format, themes, what to do if you have questions, and more. The deadline for proposal submissions is October 28, 2002.

Please write proposal@cw2003.org or help@cw2003.org if you have questions and a member of the planning team will reply promptly.

We're looking forward to a great conference next May. We have an exciting list of keynote speakers lined up (sorry, top-secret for the moment) and a host of other special events planned (an excursion to howl with the wolves, golf outings, discovery zones, and a hypnovista 3-D film, to name a few). Those of you who have attended C&W conferences in the past know that they provide a refreshing opportunity to share research interests, talk about teaching and technology, and meet many of the people working in the field. The Conference is now in its 18th year. We hope to see many of you here in West Lafayette next May.

Best,
Dave Blakesley
CW2003 Program Chair
