The Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland, College Park is a select group of nationally-recognized business, civic and educational leaders which serves as the major advisory board to the President. The Board has been specifically charged to evaluate and report on "the effort by the University of Maryland System and the state in meeting the requirements of the Maryland Charter for Higher Education that require the University System of Maryland to provide the campus with:
