This Speaker Series brings unique speakers to the campus to discuss the development of the multicultural interactions necessary to establish and maintain meaningful and otherwise substantive cross-cultural relationships; and, for the establishment and maintenance of a campus structure and climate that promotes sincere cross-cultural relationship-building in deep, meaningful, fair, and equitable ways. Speakers have inlcuded academics, slam poets, improvisational social commentary-focussed comedians, film-makers, journalists, story-tellers, folk singers, and liberation theologians. This speaker series develops collaborative relationships with other multiculturally oriented speakers series on campus in order to build mutual co-sponsorships and enhance participation. Currently, OHRP is developing such a relationship with the
Department of Education Policy and Leadership, particularly their Center for Education Policy and Leadership's Diversity and Community in American Life Colloquium Series. Speaker Series 2002: Liberation Theology [You will need the Acrobat reader to view this file] |
