Information and Registration

acupa2000 will be held on April 27-28 at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. This will be the second meeting of acupa participants - the first of which was hosted by MIT (see
acupa98). There is no registration fee or membership fee to participate in acupa events. However, since space and funding is limited, participation will be capped and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please complete and submit the Registration Form by Friday, April 14th.

Hotel Accommodations

Overnight accommodations are available at the Holiday Inn, College Park, at a rate of $79 (plus tax) per night (king or double). Call 301.345.6700 ext. 3107 to make your individual reservation. Please refer to our group (University of Maryland/ACUPA) when making your reservation. You may also stay for additional nights at the same rate. Please make reservations by April 9th to ensure room availability.

Check-in time is 3 p.m. Hotel staff indicated that they may be able to accommodate an earlier check-in on Thursday afternoon for anyone who requires it. Alternatively, the ACUPA hospitality suite will be accessible beginning at 2 p.m. Check-out time is 12 noon. We can store luggage in the hotel or on campus on Friday for anyone who needs to leave immediately following our meeting.

Travel and Directions

The College Park and Washington D.C. metropolitan area is serviced by several different modes of public transportation. General Travel Information is available from the University's Web site, and directions to the Holiday Inn, College Park are also available. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to the campus (5 minutes away) and the nearby Greenbelt Metro station (that will get you into downtown D.C. in less than 20 minutes). If you are planning to get to the hotel by metro, you will want to take the Green Line to Greenbelt and catch a cab for the short drive to the hotel. The hotel is also very conveniently located for anyone who plans to drive and has plenty of free parking.
